Bryan Pruden will discuss his experiences working with MNCs on risk mitigation and white collar crime investigations in China as well as his experiences working with Chinese law enforcement. He will touch on major risks facing MNCs in China, such as intellectual property theft, fraud, corruption and implications for US law and supply chain integrity. SPEAKER’S BIO:
Bryan Pruden is a Manager, Investigations and Consulting, with CBI Consulting, a security and investigations firm engaged in a wide range of discrete corporate inquiries in the Greater China region. CBI management, consultants and investigators support a wide range of risk mitigation and corporate investigation initiative for multi-national companies operating in Greater China. Bryan has consulted on, designed and managed a wide range of programs, including brand protection/anti-counterfeiting, fraud investigations, physical security, key employee background screening, compliance due diligence and a wide range of tailored risk mitigation programs. His current projects include FCPA compliance background investigations, managing a team of investigators carrying out IP enforcement raids on behalf of a US-based consumer products company, managing a program discovering and investigating counterfeit solar panels and heading up a business intelligence initiative for a US-based biotechnology company. Bryan is a member of the Associated of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), International Trademark Association (INTA), Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals and is on the Investigations Committee of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC). He received a BA with honors in International Relations from the University of California, San Diego and a graduate degree from the Johns Hopkins SAIS-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. He is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and wishes he could understand Shanghainese.
