Now that you're in China, can you imagine how not understanding cross-cultural issues could impact your effectiveness at an interview?  Michael Tkach, an international HR Consultant and Lawyer will share with us his thoughts on navigating through those cross-cultural issues in the workplace.   Michael will focus on what can happen during the interview process for both the interviewer and interviewee!  This promises to be an informative and enlightening session with a seasoned speaker who has over 15 years of professional experience in Asia.

Speaker's Bio:

Michael Tkach is an International HR Consultant & lawyer. Born in New York City, Michael has lived & worked the majority of his career outside the U.S.: London, Paris, Beijing & most recently Shanghai. His work history includes Corporate HR experience in Investment Banking & Technology and for the last 10+ years Michael has been an HR consultant with 'blue-chip' clients like Motorola, Phillips Electronics and Dun & Bradstreet.

  • make a reservation and not cancel a day ahead: fee event is due and you must pay the fee in order to attend other EPWS events

1. RSVP deadlines

  • For evening events, latest RSVP accepted will be 12.00pm on the day of the event.
  • For daytime events (e.g. Power Breakfast, Job Club), latest RSVP accepted will be 12.00pm on the day prior to the event.

2. Walk-in Fee

  • We will charge an RMB50 supplement to the entrance fee for attendees who come to an event without prior RSVP.
